My doctor told me if I have started my period on cd34 then take a hpt. That makes me have almost a 3ww why does everyone else have a 2ww and I took a hpt today and it was neg can anyone tell me what's going on I thought the trigger lasted 10 days

The trigger shot can last up to 12 days they say but this varies for everyone. Many girls test and it is out of thier system after only 7 days. I know this can all be difficult. Since you did the trigger shot you may start your period earlier than your normal 34 days. Dr's are all different on how they expect you to test and when but usually the HCG is testable on a HPT by the first day of a missed period. I had a +hpt at only 9 dp IUI but many don't get them until about 14 days or so after. Wait a couple of days and retest. I wouldn't be able to wait 3 wks.
