What comes after clomid

I have been diagnosed with PCOS and have been on Clomid for 7 months. I started with 3 courses on 50mg and now i am on 100mg. I have blood tests every 21 days. I have been told by the Ghynocholist that if i am not pregnant by my next appointment whcih is in august i will be referred elsewere.  Does anyone know were i will be referred and what treatment  may recieve.

I agree it can be a life changing surgery, I had almost 100 cysts and after surgery I started AF without meds for the first time.  that being said it's only recommended in severe cases with lots of cysts or hormones that are not corrected with metformin.

Littlelady-i'm surprised an OB kept you that long, you should be seeing a RE (reproductive endocrinologist).  If your not already on metformin most likely you will start that it's a pill to help regulate hormones, which in most women helps bring on a period and ovulation.  Have you had any Ultrasounds since starting clomid?  it has a tendency to cause cysts in women with PCOS and you really should have a scan with each cycle.   good luck if you have any other questions feel free to msg me.

why would you seriously doubt ovarian drilling? It is a simple and safe outpatient procedure that takes 2 days to heal and does a world of good.  I had mine on May 4th and am now pregnant.  Luckily my doctor is a fertility specialist as well, and she was able to perform the surgery 2 weeks after my diagnosis of PCOS.  I would recommend the surgery to anyone TTC with a dianosis of PCOS.

I seriously doubt that they will do ovarian drilling... A fertility specialist will make the call what tests to run and how to deal with it. Best of luck :)

Probably to a fertility specialist, and they will more than likely recommend surgery (ovarian drilling), or start with IUI.

Being on clomid that long, I would assume that your doctor is talking about referring you to a fertility or reproductive specailist, which is also known as an endocrologist. Your next steps will be to have some heavy bloodwork done (if not already done, but the endo might want it again). If all checks out, iui might be suggested. If other problems are apparent, ivf might be the next step. Good luck with your baby journey and I hope it all works out for you!
