Why different Clomid days??

Hi ladies,

Just wondering why i see some ladies taking Clomid on CD 3-7 and some on CD 5-9.  This will be my 3rd round of Clomid and my OB increased my dose to 100mg on CD 5-9.  However, i am finding that i ovulate really late (like CD 19 or even later) while on this schedule.  

Do you think it would be beneficial to ask my OB to switch to CD 3-7 instead?

since you O'ed later, did you mesus come later too?

Its true CD3-7 gives you a higher number of eggs maturing and CD5-9 gives better quality eggs. I think CD3-7 is most common but 5-9 is good too. Clomid typically makes you O later in your cycle. I usually wouldn't O until CD21 when I was on clomid.

my understnding (and I am new to this) is that 3-7 gives you a higher qty of eggs and 5-9 gives you a better quaility.  Not sue if the lesser quaility means they are too small to implant or more likely to miscarry or anything like that.  I am on 5-9 and was wondering if it si better to have more eggs personally, so I hope some veteran TTCers can help us out
