I talked to my friend and she seems to be doing okay given the tragedy. She just said she didn't know what she was going to do, but she has to keep going because she has her daughter to take care of.
My stepson is sick....he started running a low fever yesterday and coughing....today his fever got higher along with a headache, stomach cramps, vomitting, tiredness and aches! They called his dr and they said he has H1N1, but they wouldn't test him for it!?! How can you DX something properly without the test? They said it would take 7-10 days to get the results, so they are just going to assume he has it and gave him tamaflu (sp?). I woke up this morning with a sore throat, so hopefully I don't have anything! Our school here has been closed this week til Thursday....but he isn't going, even if he is feeling better.
I did get my H1N1 vaccine today. That has been something I've worried about for a while. But I got it....so it eases my mind a little. Where I live the stuff is spreading like a wild fire.
Well ladies I better get ready for bed, have to work in the morning!
OMG! What a relief to finally hear from you :) I was getting worried, but I'm SO happy for you & dh!!! You have a beautiful little Shelby Rachel growing inside of you & she's doing so well :) I don't blame you for taking off to shop! Believe me, I'm ready :) So, looks like we have girls on our due date list... Let's see what my scan shows ;) Thanks for the well wishes & a BIG CONGRATS again!!!! :-)
mommyin10 & luvkayln-
Sorry to keep you guys waiting. It has been a rollar coaster of emotions and I have been extremly busy. Before I get started. luvkayln, I hope your appointment went well today and mommyin10, I can't wait to hear your news.
As for me... the appointment went GREAT! Too great actually. I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop but I am praying even harder that it doesn't. So without further hesitation... IT'S A GIRL!!!!!! No Dominic. We are having a Shelby Rachel instead. I was SOOOOO unbelievably happy when they said "there is your daughters labia". Larry said "did he say daughter"? It was so cute. Then his eyes teared up and he said he had to sit down. We wanted a girl so bad. I would have loved a boy but we really wanted a girl and so did my mom. She went too. She was hoping around the room and I just layed there in complete shock! It was the best day so far. Even the day I tested positive doesn't compare to this. She is 11 ouces which is absolutely perfect for where we are and my cervic length looks good. We may not even need the shots but he's going to start checking it at every appointment to make sure it doesn't start to soften up at all but for now he is very happy with my progress. We are still on major restrictions from the leaking last week but that seems to have gotten better too. Our due date is still 4-3-2010 until we have a daughter. I can't even tell you how weird that sounds to me. I NEVER thought this would happen. I never believed that we would actually get here. I always hoped but never believed. I almost don't know what to do with myself now that the journey is almost over. I am focusing on enjoying everyday with her. Our family!!! After the doctors appointment I called off work and went shopping! I had to buy pink stuff. By the time I got home I had to head straight for the couch. I over did it of course but we're ok. Today I had a work thing that lasted for well over 12 hours but I didn't want to keepyou waiting any longer. I'm gong back to the couch. My doctor would not be very happy with me right now... but I'M HAVING MY GIRL ! ! ! ! ! ! !! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Again mommyin10- LOTS OF LUCK TOMORROW. I didn't forget about you one bit in my excitement.
XOXO
I just saw your post to ad_06. OMG, that is unbelievable & so sad ;(
dnikki: I was going to guess it was your blood sugar dropping. I'm hypoglycemic & once I tried the South Beach diet, it regulated my levels really well :) I had an episode about a month ago where I got dizzy & sweaty & it was my blood sugar dropping. It's scary, but very manageable. I agree, call to move up your gestational diabetes testing. That would be too hard to wait so long.
Keyan: Thank you! :)
Stacey: It's so good to hear from you! :) I'll definitely check out your new pics! I'm so happy to hear Jake's doing so well & settling into a routine :) Thanks for thinking of me. I am nervous, but anxious for my appt. The amnio results won't come back right away, but hopefully the scan will alleviate our concerns :)
luvkayln: Sounds like everything went perfectly! What a cutie, flashing her smile, then fast asleep ;) I can imagine your thoughts when they used the buzzer. Yikes! ;( But it's good she's doing do well & it's just 27 days til her b-day!!! My appt is at 9:00, but we have the counseling, anatomy scan & amnio, so it'll be a long day! I'm off because it's Veterans Day, so I'll be home resting afterwards. I'll definitely check in :)
Sbumblebeeo: Where are you!?!
Dnikki- Yes, you can have it sooner! I had my glucose test at 26 weeks too, so maybe just ask? I hope that's not what it is tho!
