anyone had sperm dna tested for fragmentation?

Has anyone's partner had sperm chromatin structure analysis (SCSA) to test for fragmented sperm dna?  My RE just suggested it. He said it can contribute to infertility even if the sperm analysis is normal. He also said it could contribute to chemical pregnancies and miscarriages. Wish he'd told me that sooner...before I spent $15000 on an ivf that failed

Hello,
My husband is getting that test doe right now. We just sent out for the kit. Its like $375 bucks and they sent it to  your house. We had one IVf that did not work. His sperm looks perfect in terms of mobility and numbers but he is a heavy pot smoker so he is getting it tested, and he has stopped THANK THE LORD (Our next IVF is October 18th or around then).

My doc said it is usually the egg problem only 10% the sperm problem (after its already been tested for the quantity and mobility) but before we do this again we are going to try everything. Plus if there is a problem w/ the sperm my doc told me the solution is IVF so don't feel discouraged. Next time could be your time!
