azithromycin question?

The dr. is having me take azithromycin starting today for one week off one week on.  I am a little nervous to take this while I am in the 2 week wait.  Also, if I am pregnant it makes me more nervous.  She gave it to me because when I was pregnant around 6 months ago I got 2 uti's.  I ended up losing the pregnancy, but to this day they don't know why because everything was going so great.  She wants me to avoid the uti's by taking this medicine.  Has anyone else taken this medicine while in the 2 week wait or while pregnant?  Did you cause any problems?

I took doxycycline also,  but she wants me to take azithromycin also.  She wants me to take it for a week on and a week off for a month.

OK, it was doxycycline and I took it for 7 days, starting the day of trigger...so I guess that was more to prepare for transfer then.

Oh, OK...that makes sense. You know what? Come to think of it, I was actually on an antibiotic too around the time of transfer, but I think it was only for a few days (just as a precaution). I'll see if I can find any papers with the name of the drug and when I took it (can't remember off the top of my head).

Yes, my RE wants me to take this just in case there was a link from my uti's from me having lost my pregnancy.

Is it your RE prescribing this? I'm not familiar with that specific drug, but I would assume it is one of the ones that are safe to take in pregnancy. Lots of women are treated for UTIs while pregnant, so I would think it's fine, but hopefully someone else on here has had some personal experience with it and can give you some more info...
