Progesterone

Has anyone ever had IUI and not have to take progesterone? Is that a good sign 7days post IUI

Also, I think drs are all different. My first RE didn't test my progesterone nor did he prescribe a supplement. My second RE prescribed a low dose from day 2 and my last RE prescribed 800 mg/day (two 400 suppositories)...seems there is no "standard of care" in this regard

My current RE likes to wait until 5-6 days after iui and test to see if the person needs progesterone. Due to my anxiety, however (I've had two miscarriages) he started me on progesterone on day 2 after the iui. An adequate progesterone level a good sign in that you ovulated but I don't know if it's sign you are actually pregnant. Although the last time I got pregnant my day 21 progesterone was high and the dr said "you know, you may actually be pregnant"

I'm 6 dp IUI and was not given progesterone supplements nor were they disussed for IUI. I had it for IVF. Guess we will wait and see. The supplments might be given for women who have issues with lining is my guess. What was ur protocol?
