Yeah they didnt want us to BD unprotected because of the meds I was going to be taking..
awh man i wish my doc had mentioned that.
Hi,
I had a trial transfer as well and they told me that from that day until my transfer no unprotected sex... unfortunetly I didnt have enough follies for IVF this cycle so we just did IUI today...Good Luck!
I think all RE's perform a trial transfer, I know mine did. And the main reason for that is to see where the cervix is, and the specifics of the uterus and how difficult it is to get the catheter in the right area.
With my trial run, my RE discovered my uterus is tilted and that it goes to the right. The more they know about the 'position' of things, the less poking they have to do at time of transfer resulting in less cramping of the uterus
thank you, I am going to take your advice and bd tonight too:) Did your RE perform a trial transfer? Or have you ever heard of that being done before?
Hmmm! Good question... I'm not sure if the saline solution would affect the little swimmer up there or not, but I don't think it would have an affect on the egg at this stage (since you're just now ovulating). I would probably BD again tonight or tomorrow morning...just to add a new supply of swimmers up there; and hopefully it will be perfect timing and you'll get your BFP before heading to IVF! Best of luck!!!
