If you have a normal cycle and have had know other problems then it would be assumed that you shouldn't have a problem. Your Husband should get a semen analysis since 40% of infertility is due to male factors. The typically work-up would be CD3 bloodwork including FSH and estradiol levels. Also if you have been trying for a while then and HSG is recommended to make sure your tubes are open. Also a basline ultrasound.
My doc did the following tests:
1. Blood test on day 3 of my cycle to determine fsh (ovarian reserve that determines the quality of your eggs)
2. Blood test on day 21 to figure whether I ovulate (i.e. progesterone test)
3. HSG to figure out whether my tubes are blocked
4. u/s to look for fibroids, cysts, etc.
5. Your dh or partner should also get tested!!!!
I am sorry to read about your struggles to conceive.
