Looking 4 Clomid buddies - CD12 - testing April 22nd

Today is CD12 for me. Although I don't have any trigger shots to take, I am monitoring my ovulation with OPKs just to make sure that I BD in the right time... but OPK is still negative today... and my obgyn did NOT offer to monitor the follies through U/s so I guess I'm winging it! I do feel bloated like there is something going on in my ovary area...

I'm looking for support and for buddies that are in a similar calendar table than I am... let's support each other (I know that I sure need emotional support!). I have not had any mood swings but I have crazy hot flashes at night!

by the way everyday technique did not work for us either.  I guess it will happen no matter how much you BD as long as the timing was perfect.

hi,
Not using POAS regularly anymore because it stessed me out in the past months.  LOL So I fugure if we BD starting today every other day, then maybe we get covered.  :) crossing fingers.  I am now at CD11 I only did POAS CD10 and negative.  I am on clomid so O can be tricky.  Last time I did not O till like CD16 or CD17 ... yup that late.  I just stoped the poas because It adds up to my stress. I know I know,  I am so lame lately but I just can't handle the stress anymore.  I even stoped BBT.  I will just go with the flow for now.  STill hoping to catch some baby dust with you ladies :)

Well today is CD13. Still testing negative on OPK. Is that normal? Shouldn't it be positive? That means that I won't ovulate until 48 hours. I thought that we ovulated on CD14 or around there. I am so confused?
How are all you ladies doing today? Any of you start babydancing already? We did last night. I wanted to follow the "every other day" technique so we did on CD12, we will on CD14 and one last go on CD16. I am desperate and will try everyting (we've already tried the "every-day" technique but it didn't work for us)

Are is your moral today alikat1205, 4Angie, BabyBlue07 and tea_berries?

Have a good tuesday.

I know it's hard to not think and obsess about it.  Maybe that's why me and DH agreed that we will just wait and hope.  It has been a year for us trying and it hurts to think that we are fine and yet could not get pregnant.

If you are on clomid, I suggest getting a blood test every CD21 to find out if clomid really helped you out.   My OB sends me for one every CD21 that is why I know that I have been successfully ovulating with the dosage.  I do not agree on the 10mg being the starting dosage.  My OB told me to take 50mg first and then if blood test shows that it did not do it;s job, then we go to 100mg.  then again maybe it just depends on the experience they have right?

Hi tea_berries,

I really hope that this is the month for you!

I didn't get any plan from any doctor. I demanded an HSG and the result was that I had 1 blocked tube. I was then told to keep'on trying... but after 2 years, I was loosing faith so we did IVF. The doc said that I could still get pregnant on my own with one fallopian tube working but it would take much longer than average couples. I am going to be 37 next month so I don't feel like I have that much time. I've taken Ovulex and I have been taking daily dose of Primerose Oil, prenatal vitamin, B6 vitamin and baby aspirin for over 3 months.

So after IVF failed, I went back to obgyn and demanded Clomid (I had researched infertility treatments on the internet). He said that it might not do anything for me cause I ovulate normally. He gave me a 6 month prescription and sent me on my way. This is my 1st month on Clomid. All the doctors I meet always say the same thing: you need to relax and not think about it. It sounds like great advise but I cannot find the "stop feeling like you will miss your chance to have a family" switch.

Also, I'm a little worried cause the prescription was for 50mg of Clomid but the pharmacy gave me 100mg... I called and they said that 100mg is the starter dose. It didn't make too much sense but I took 100mg from CD5-CD9.

Sorry for the ramblings!

Yes, my doctor monitored my lining and my follicles since day 1.  On CD10, doctor asked me to do OPK and if i have + sign, then i will come in on CD12 to have sonogram.  If follicles aren't look good, i come back on CD14.  Due to clomid did my lining thin, my doctor will change the medicine next cycle to help my lining.

Good luck

Hi all,

this is my third round of clomid 50mg and now at CD10,  So far I ovulate every month with the dosage but not pg yet :( DH was tested and he's fine.  I had HSG done last november and everything looks great too.  Maybe our timing is not yet perfect.  Pretty sad but I guess It will happen when it happens :) I know we will all get pregnant at one point and I pray that it happens soon fingers crossed :)

IsabelleCanada:I am from edmonton and used to see an RE at the royal alexandra,  Now with an OB because the REndocrinologist would like to do an inseminantion right away without even trying clomid.  Or getting tested.  So I moved. I am open to trying anything but knowing that me and DH are fine, I would like to try clomid first and hoping it will work.  Where in canada are you from? Didn't they give you a plan? like if clomid is not for you did they suggest injections? Insemination? Insemination if needed?

thanks for your message BabyBlue07. Did you monitor your lining from the 1st cycle of Clomid? Can anything be done to improve linign of the uterus?

My doc gave me a 6 month prescription for Clomid and litterally said: "Good luck, if you don't get pregnant in the next 6 months, then there is noithing more I can do for you".

I was a little discouraged but then again, he's the one who told me that I could still get pregnant with only 1 tube (my right tube is blocked due to an ectopic pregnancy)

I don't know anything about uterus lining, and I sure can't ask him about it so I guess I will try to find some info on it on the web. Thanks for telling me about this!

Good luck alikat1205, 4Angie and BabyBlue07... we're in this together! Baby dust to y'all!

Today is my CD14.  This is my 6th cycle of clomid.  I suppose to do IUI this cycle but because my uterus lining is not thick enough, my doctor didn't want to do IUI.  I have opk+ on CD10.  This morning i have sonogram and follicles look very but the lining not good.

Make sure you have a good lining while using clomid.  ask your doctor to have sonogram on your CD12 to make sure your lining is good to go.  otherwise even you are conceive, but there is no lining for eggs to implant.

good luck

CD9 for me.  U/S on Thursday and possible IUI on Saturday.  This is my 3rd round of clomid, but first IUI.  I am nervous.

I hope you get a BFP... did you time intercourse? We plan on doing it every other day...

How long have you been TTC? Did you try other things beside Clomid? You say you didn't get monitoring... and I thought that everyone got monitored to find out how many follies you produce but it doesn't work like that in Canada

well I'm here if you need support! I know how painful the 2 week-wait can be! (I have been trying for almost 2 years and had a failed IVF in january). I'll be praying for a BFP for you!

I took only Clomid this cycle and I didn't ovulate until cycle day 15-16.  No monitoring this cycle or trigger either.  I will be testing on April 19.  I haven't had the hot flashes, but I think I am having mood swings.  My husband is being especially annoying! But maybe it's just me, because I have been on edge the last few days.
