Positive opk!!

Finally! We have been ttc for 3 long years. I was up on metformin in July 2012 for PCOS and started taking clomid 2 months ago. I did a day 21 blood test last month and they said it worked but I never got a positive opk. This month I tested days 10, 12, 13, 14 per dr orders and they were all negative. I called dr back and they said stop testing, I should have gotten a positive by now and just come in Monday for a blood test again. Well the last couple of days I have been really crampy and still am today and woke up with a terrible headache. I decided to test one more time just to see and BAM I got a smiley face! Now hopefully we get baby (:

I'm now 4dpo and have had sharp pain around left ovary area ...just like quick sharp pains that last a couple of seconds ...had them all day...anyone know why this would be?

You ovulate 24-36 hours after it registers an lh surge, so bd the day of and the next day as well.

Thanks girls! I was so very excited, I do have a question tho, I'm a little confused.

Are you ovulating when you get the positive opk or do you ovulate a little while after? I ask because, I got a smiley face around noon yesterday and tested again (just curiosity) around 8pm and it was negative and negative again this morning. I did have sex w DH when he got home around 2pm....just hoping I didn't miss the window....just going to BD every night until period comes! Hope it works out..

Also from my experience clomid made me ovulate a few days later. Good luck.

Awesome!! Getting that opk is so exciting. Stress can make you o too, I don't know if it was from a cold I had or because I was stressing myself out, but I didnt o until cd22 this month. I usually do at cd16 or 17!

Forgot to add, I am cycle day 19 ...I just ovulate later in my cycle, so you could too...
