It is highly recommended that you read the hpt within the time period that is on the directions; otherwise, like vizslamama, you could get an evaporation line & that probably isn't accurate. The only way to know for sure is to take a hpt and follow the directions - I hope you get your BFP! - jen
Hi - This happened to me. I tested early (and often!) and I would find a line about a half hour later and while I was warned of evaporation lines, I was in fact pregnant.
I haven't heard of that ever happening but I can see where someone could be pregnant but the HPT says negative because it's not sensitive enough to detect the HCG levels yet. HPT's aren't considered accurate after 10 minutes (which I'm sure you know). It is possible that you are still pg but I wouldn't consider the HPT you just took as positive. I would wait a few more days and take another test and see what that one says. Good luck!
Hi. Well, that's never happened to me, so I can't help there. We did just find out we are pregnant, and I took a test at 13 dpo in the afternoon and it showed up positive right away. How many dpo are you? Because if you're still early, maybe it just took a while for the test to show positive since you have such low hcg? I would try to take another test in the morning and see what happens. If it's a true positive, it should get darker and darker each day! I hope it's a true positive for you girl! :) Good luck!!!! :)
would someone please respond?
