The only side effect that I had the first time was a bit of a headache the day I took the pills....this month I didn't have any side effects.  My RE said he would never put anyone on clomid...it also thins your uterine lining which can be a problem for the pregnancy to "stick"  I would ask him about the Femara instead...I'm not sure where you live, I'm in the Toronto area and it's highly recommended here....

Is femara really so much worse than clomid? I am doing my infertility work up now and will be going on clomid cycle after next and I have heard so many awful things about the fact that clomid gives you all of these side effects and does famara do the same thing without the side effects?

I have!  I started it in January (2.5 mg days 3-7 of my cycle) and got pregnant in Feb.  That unforutnately was bad luck as it was a blighted ovum (nothing to do with the Femara).  I just finished my first month again now.  I'm on cycle day 28 now and don't think I got pregnant this month but next month who knows!

Unfortunately, it didn't work for me...we had to move on to IVF after a few months. But I did produce some very nice follicles on it! And no major side effects, like clomid can produce! Hopefully it'll do the trick for you...
