A D&C is the same procedure as an abortion. Most of the women here that have suffered a loss, have had a D&C, myself included. It should not affect your ability to conceive again.
Are you timing things right? Do you know if/when you ovulate? If you are timing correctly and have not conceived, it is time to talk to your dr. A day 21 progesterone test will show if there is ovulatory activity. From those results, they will be able to direct you to the next step.
I wouldn't worry too much about the abortion causing an issue. It is likely not the problem.

Start tracking your temperature - your BBT (basal body temperature) first thing in the morning before you get it out of bed. Your temp will go up when you ovulate and stay elevated until you get your period. Doing this will be helpful when you go to your OB to talk about fertility. Start taking note of changes in your body- specifically your cervical mucus - there should be changes when you ovulate - that way you have more info to speak to your dr about and you know when your 'fertile' time would be. Good luck.
And I love this site too! I've found it to be rewarding and helpful!
Check with ur OBGYN and first step would be to get a HSG done . This would ensure that ur tubes are open and not an issue. They also run some blood tests on certain CDs. Like a CD3 blood work would tell about the quality and quantity of eggs that you have. Also your estrogen levels will need to monitored to check if you Ovulate. I strongly recommend u start charting to get a feel of how ur body works. Check out fertilityfriend.com for charting know hows.
Good luck and message me if u need more info. :)
