how long do i need to wait for an appoinment with RE

hi, i am from croatia, and i have no idea how does yr medical system works, its just worries me, that when i went to my gp, she gave me all the results which were normal, but bcs my husbands sperm turned up to be ubnormal, she has told me that she is gonna writte the letter 2 book for me an appoitment with specialist, thats it, 5 weeks past and nothing hear from them , so how does it work?
do i need to stay calm and wait? how long do i need to wait to see the specialist, are they gonna call me or send me a letter? thnx

, problem is that my english is not best, and sometimes i am just lost.. i started to think to go back home and have an ivf treatment there, at least its gonna be cheaper and faster, and what does the OBYGYN means? is it an other name for gp? and which insurance is the best? we got BUPA one, is it good one? my husband does all the things , but he cant explain a thing.. . hhh man..

Yes, if you don't need the referal, you call to schedule the appointment with RE AND call back to OBGYN and ask her whether she has booked u for appointment and if she can FAX all the documents to the RE's office. It oes depend on your insurance. You need to find out whether you need referal or not.

Depending on your insurance you may need a referral from your OBGYNE. If paying out of pocket then just find the fertility center you would like to go to and call to make an appointment. Do some research on the internet for RE's in your area and their success rates. It sounds like you do need a referral and havent gotten one from croatia so I would call them first.
