cramps after an IUI

Is it normal to get that period cramp soreness in uterus area the day of an IUI?  MY first one I ad mild cramping and it went away..but this time I had two follicles so I had bad pains in my right tube and then now it is in my uterus  period soreness.  Is this normal?

thank you for the advice...The cramping has gone away  now I only hope it worked cause this is my second IUI and I had two follicles this time on clomid.  The only prob is we couldnt go in for the second day of insemination because i had to take an exam we only went in for one and then tried intercourse the next day...I really hope it worked.  I guess Ill find out in 2 weeks.  When shold i take a home pregnancy exam?

Cramping is normal after the IUI so probably what you are feeling is normal. If it get really bad you should probably call your dr. Good luck this cycle!
