infertility

hi ive been trying to conceive since my miscarriage last year would you recommend i start taking DHEA

i would be very careful about taking a hormone like DHEA without advice from your doctor.  unless you have a deficiency, taking additional hormones can really mess up your system.
if you have not seen a fertility specialist, you should consider it since it has been a year.

I'm not sure about DHEA. I just read on the MayoClinic website
"DHEA can cause higher than normal levels of androgens and estrogens in the body, and theoretically may increase the risk of prostate, breast, ovarian, and other hormone-sensitive cancers. Therefore, it is not recommended for regular use without supervision by a licensed health professional."

So maybe you should talk with you doctor. A prenatal vitamin is always good though!

I'm not sure what DHEA is but my doc said to take a multivitamin with high folic acid....

What is the DHEA?
