I have a friend who after 4 years of TTC had twin sons (after first round of IVF) - she gained 23 lbs with the pregnancy and has since lost over 50! She gained a lot of weight while going through the fertility testing and such. With all the crazy hormones it's normal to gain weight - just know that at some point it will come off!
are you undergoing any hormone treatments (clomid, injections)? If not, have you been tested for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)? That can be a cause of both infertility and weight gain. However, if you ARE undergoing hormone treatments, like Diane said, it could very well come from that. If you are not on anything, I'd consult a doctor because any unusual weight gain may have a reason behind it.
I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years ago, and the five years before I was diagnosed I gained 60 lbs (about 27 kgs). Each cycle on these hormones my weight tends to go up a little bit, but goes back down when I'm done. I'm on medication for PCOS and haven't gained (but have had difficulty losing) any weight since I've been treated for it.
