stress

i work as a call center agent and i work at night. For several months, my periods comes on my expected dates except this month.i am delayed for 8 days now. This past few days, maybe 2weeks ago,  i had irregular sleeping patterns and my maximum number of hours of sleep is around 5 hours only and most of the time i only get to sleep for 3-4 hours.
Im just wondering if stress or lacking of sleep could cause menstrual delay? or am i pregnant?

It could be either. It doesn't sound as if you are trying to get pregnant, though. Otherwise, you would have likely tested at one day late. I hope it is the result that you want. I would take a test and see.

Actually stress and lack of sleep definitely can cause a delay. However, so can pregnancy  ;-)
There's really only one way to find out which it is and that's by testing.
Hope it goes the way you want it to!
