need answers:-)

hey everyone!

ive been married for one year and 3 mths and no signs of conceiving---actually we were trying from jan so tht doesn't count to a year even
anyhow i visited  for a general gynea checkup and it turned out i had sever vaginal infection- got treated recently by antiobiotics and a vag cream
ive had regular periods with delays..
had my blood tests and pelvic follicle test...they were good

my doc has suggested me to take tab cerophene 50 mg from day 2nd till the day 6th of the coming cycle
an ultrasound at day 12th and followed by an IVF c 5000 iu injection and  then cyclogest pessary 400 mg to be used from day 15th till day 29th.

my question is......do i need these medicatons? shud i wait and try naturally for a few mths more? the doc was of the opinion tht my infection is the likely cause of me not conceiving

my biggest problem is tht im really underweight for my age- i am taking few supplement for it as suggested by the doc

and im concerned whether the med prescribed by the doc for the coming cycle will somehow adversely affect me coz of me being underweight!

any views on my problem?? btw can anyone further explain how these medi would assist me? i have the basic idea but dont knw for sure whether i shud go for it at this time or not

thanks in advance guys!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These drugs help in fertility and ovulation and hence help in conception. Cyclogest is progesterone which is important for carrying and sustaining pregnancy. You should follow up with your doctor and then start with these medicines as advised.

I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
