AF showed up after clomid round 6!!!!!

Well AF showed up today.  This was my 6th round of clomid and I can't take it anymore because the dr wil only give me 6 rounds.  I I am just starting to see an RE but my husband still has not found a job so I do not know if we can afford to do anything else.  I feel like I will never have a child.  I do not ovulate on my own so I know if we try naturally nothing will happen.  I am so depressed. I cried myself to sleep this morning.  Thank you all for the support.......I just needed to vent.

I would like to try injectables, but it just depends on what RE says in two weeks after the blood work results come in.

So sorry about AF  :(
I hope you O on your own this cycle.  Clomid can hang around your system for a few months.  Will you try injectables and or IUI next?  They worked for so many ladies with PCOS on this forum.
Good luck to you!

Thanks girls for all the support.  I am going to th RE tomorrow to do blood work, then 2 weeks after will go for the results and a consultation.  My in laws said they would help us out financially while DH is looking for a job, which hopefully will not be much longer...he just finished up his degree so we will see.  I am feeling a little bit better today, I am hoping that I will ovulated on my own this month and I am going to ask the RE if I can still keep taking the metformin.  I did need a break from the clomid, pray for me girls that my blood work will turn up good!

SSBD to all

Stop taking medicine for a while to let your body med free.  Sometimes too much med in the system might cause complication.

I took 1 cycle of med and i felt wonderful.  I start my med again this cycle.  I will try one more then that's it.

I can tell how med can affects my daily living.  i got moody, irritateable, nasty attitude for no reason.  When i was off med, i was myself again.

Disney Chick, if financial is tight right now, take a break until your DH get a job then start your cycle with med again.

Good luck to you.

Good morning.  I'm so sorry to hear your bad news.  My heart is breaking for you.  I agree with the post above in that the one good thing is that time is definitely on your side.   I know that doesn't make the pain any less, but maybe just try to take a break from the meds and enjoy the upcoming spring/summer months with your dh.  Trust me, I know how hard that can be, especially when you want to be a mother so much and it consumes your every thought.  It's important though to try to take care of yourself too.  In the meantime, have you ever tried Chasteberry/Vitex?  I've heard a lot of women who take that herb to regulate their cycles/ovulation and it works.  I would assume it's less expensive than prescription drugs.  Good luck to you and take care.

Since you husband isn't working now and you are pretty young, maybe you can wait just a little while longer.  Try au natural and when things settle down try injectables.  There is a great book called The Fertility Cure you can pick up at the book store that will give you some natural things you can do to increase fertility.   There is always a chance it'll happen when you least expect it.  Good luck.

Every doctor does only 6 rounds of clomit. If it dind't worked until now it's not going to later on. Your next step are injectables, which really make a difference. You can do a combo of clomit+injectables it worket for me 3 times. Good luck

If money is tight - can you go on metformin ($4 at walmart). It is usually for PCOS patients but some RE's will give it out anyway. At least see if they will give it to you until you guys can afford the drugs. I almost never O'ed on my own. Then I took Metformin, only took it for anout 14 days and O'ed on my own with nothign else involved. Didn't get preggo that time but at least you would be Oing possibly. Then it doesn't feel liek such a waste, you know?

When you can do all the meds, I was successful with clomid, menopur,a nd a HCG shot. Sadly I just lost my little bean, but I did get preggo from it :) Good luck. Give your body a rest from the clomid, try the metformin if they will let you and see what happens. SSBD to you!

So sorry to hear that AF arrived!!  Can they let you switch to a differnet drug like femara instead of the clomid??? It will happen, I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers! Enjoy a big cup of coffee and glass or two of wine and a hot bath!
