I have pcos and I'm trying to conceive, I have been taking metformin but currently stopped. I ran out. I hope to start up again within a week. After taking it for a month I finally got a period. No spotting for days before or after. It was perfect. My breast even got sore! I am using this as a place for woman trying to conceive with pcos  and help each other out,  give advice or tell their story. Any one is welcome!

I want to try these things first, without anything huge. I'm hoping it will happen, but if not then I'll take it to the next step. So far I'm still positive lol

My infertility doctor put me on progesterone shots and enstrogen patches and pills when i was pregnant.  These keep your homone levels up ti minimize your body rejecting the baby and greatly reduces the risk of misscarriage

I have pcos and endemetriosis as well.  The metformin definitely works.  Have you tried seeing any infertility doctors?  There are numerous specialized procedures that can aid in getting pregnant.

That's awesome! I've tried inositol supplements, but nothing happened. I've tried all sorts of things to get at least my period back, but nothing has worked except metformin. I just started hypnosis  last night. Some might find it silly, but I think anything is worth a try. If anything I slept so much better! I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I hope things work out for you!

I have PCOS too and have been treating it naturally, which is working since I got pregnant twice last year (both ended in miscarriage, though) and have been ovulating on a regular basis. I've been doing aerobic exercise at least 3 times a week, 2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil a day, Vitex (to regulate hormones), prenatal vitamins, D-Chiro-Inositol (helps to control insulin levels, which is the main problem for those with PCOS), vitamin E, and cutting back on carbs/processed sugars. It takes a lot of work and dedication but it's worth it as I can feel my body is getting more in balance. Also, it turns out I'm low in progesterone, which could explain my past 2 miscarriages. Starting progesterone supplements this cycle and fingers crossed that this is my time!
