pregnancy after an HSG

I just had my HSG done last week (after 19 months of ttc). She said the tubes were clear. I was wondering if anyone here has had this done (I ovulate in the next 2 days so my fingers are crossed). I read somewhere that the chances of getting pregnant after an HSG increase significantly. Does anyone here know anything about this or even had this done and had a better success rate?

I'm getting my first HSG test on Monday and my doctor gave me a strong antibiotic to take the night before.  She said I will have double the chances of getting pregnant the next couple of months due to the test.

Thanks for your advice. My husband has low sperm morphology, but i'm not sure if that's the only reason why the last 3 IUIs have not worked. I've never had my tubes checked out, so i think its something i have to do. We have been trying for more than a year and its getting so frustrating so i'm trying to do everything possible, besides i have quite a high threshold for pain. Thanks again. Will keep u updated on how things go.

HSG checks whether your fallopian tubes are open .It can also remove minor blockages in the tube if any . If the reason of your infertility is a blocked tube , you ll fall pregnant the same month itself . If your HSG is done before your ovulation , you can plan for an IUI the same month itself .But i ld suggest trying on your own , if  your partner doesn't have any SA issues.
HSG procedure is a simple on in which a dye will be passed into your tubes to see the fills and spills . An XRAY will be taken while it is being performed to check the patency of the tube .The HSG pain varies from person to person . Most people says its not a painful procedure at all ( It was PAINFUL :( ) for me ...
All the best dear , hope you fall pg the month of HSg itself .

I've had 3 failed IUIs and I'm thinking of getting an HSG as recommended by my doctor. What are the implications? Does HSG really increase fertility? How does the procedure go and how long after HSG can i have another round of IUI?
