High Progesterone Level during Pregnancy
Unusually high progesterone levels in the blood may indicate that the lady could give birth to twins or more. At the same time, this could also signify a molar pregnancy. A molar pregnancy happens when there are some abnormalities in the fertilized egg during conception. The fertilized egg either never develops into an embryo (complete mole) or develops abnormally and can't survive (partial mole).
I copied this from another web sight that i came acrossed when i googled "does high progesterone indicate twins"
i read somewhere that a high progesterone is an indicator of twins or more. if you just google high progesterone a bunch of stuff will come up and thats how i found your answere. goo luck to you twins or now i know you must be happy.
Progesterone during pregnancy
First Trimester 9-47 ng/ml
Second Trimester 17-147 ng/ml
Third Trimester 55-200 ng/ml
I wonder if it is 17.7 and someone forgot a decimal?
Congratulations :) I do hope they are twins yay! Love to have twins.
so when did you find out that you were pregnant? did you do HPT before the BETA?
congrats again :)
Oh with 282 beta it's very possible you have twins. Have a happy and healthy 9 months!
Hello,
My beta is 282 just called for the results. The doctor said progesterone was 177, thank you so much for the comment, I'll take a giant baby!
Did you mean to say your beta (HCG) is at 177? I don't think progesterone is indicative of multiple pregnancy. HCG of 177 at 16 dpo is kind of on the lower edge of multiples. It's very possible that you just have one giant baby :)
Congrats!
