progesterone: shots or vaginal suppositories

Which are better? I'm on injecctions, 1ml of progesterone a day, and 0.2 estradiol every 3rd day. But I've seen many web pages that say the jelly is better...vaginal suppositories? That they provide a higher pregnancy rate. is this true?

progesterone shots are no longer painful!!! This is great.....I've been using a heating pad, and massaging the shot spot....and this really helps...After 20 minutes, it's like I didn't get a shot at all!!

I had the PIO injections - I really numbed my backside before getting them so it wouldn't be so painful.  My re said the injections are the gold standard but as both posters have said, your re probably prescribed what's best for you.

The progesterone shots are specially painful...afterwards. The estradiol isn't bad at all...the the progesteron are every day. I've just keep reading that the suppositories are so much better....but you're right...I'll just focus on what my RE gave.
Hope I get as far as you! Best of luck.

Hi, I am sure your RE prescribed it based on your needs.  I am a little 5 week pregnant after IVF.  I was prescribed crinone and estrace (pills).  They are less painful than the shots.  Good luck!!
