spotting after misscarriage

i recently misscarried at 12 weeks on the 22/04/11 i had a d&c on the 21/04/11 to remove the pregnancy. afterwards i blead for 2 weeks and after another 4 weeks i got my period but only for 2 days witch is unusual for me. just before my period i experienced what i can only describe as light spotting of brown blood. about a week after that period i experienced the same light spotting of brown blood i had a blood pregnancy test which was negative. i was due to get my normal period on saturday just gone 11/06/11 but it still hasnt come i experienced a tiny bit of the spot bleeding of brown blood this morning again but have had nothing since. we are actively trying to conceive but are very confused about my periods and the brown spot bleeding. can you help us understand what is going on

it went back to zero alright. i had a blood test and pregnancy test that were negative a few weeks ago so everything was removed through the d&c. wen i had the d&c the baby came out whole so theres no fear of anything bein left over.

Did your levels go back to 0 after your dnc???  If so did you  take a pregnancy test?  If your are 8 days late, and your levels were at 0,  it would give you an accurate answer as to what is going on.  Sometimes, like the doc said, the retained products will cause a light period, also....

are you sure this could not be signs of another pregnancy i am currently late for my period 8 days the only thing i got was on day two of when i was due was a small bit of discharge tinged with light pink blood but it lasted less than an hour i have some light pink spotting now and again but not a lot at all. i have had some slight cramping but not bad and over the past few days iv been feeling a little nauseus. my abdomen also feels swollen and hard. i havnt taken a test yet. do you think i should or do you still think what you originally said. id really appreciate your advice.

It looks like you have some products of conception left in the uterus and you have incompletely aborted it. Get an ultrasound abdomen and pelvis to confirm the diagnosis. You might have to undergo another D&C.
