5 YEARS NO PREGNANCY.. WHATS WRONG WITH ME

Hi
I'm 24 years old and been with my partner almost 6 years.. over 5 years i haven't concieved.
I am lucky enough to have a 7 1/2 year old son!!! It wasn't really easy then either He took 6mths to conceive. Back in 1999 I had a feeling something was wrong with me, but as i was only 15, too young for my doctor to consider anything which you could understand.. then found out i was pregnant at 8 weeks gone... Thank god!!!! I felt Extremly Happy and normal....

But for the past 5 years we have tried and tried and nothing has happend.. My Partner has 2 children of his own, so we know he is fine and conceived them both easily, so i'm lead to believe it is me again like my last thoughts in 1999..
Over the past few years my doctor brushed it off and told me i'm too young and to stop trying so hard and try and forget about it, huh nice.. I changed doctors and finally my new  doctor said she will try find out what may be the problem if there was one...

I was sent for various bloods but they all came back normal, hormones etc..
I has a smear and that came back abnormal, and i had another 6months later and it came back fine..
I then was sent in January this year08 to Have a scan on my tubes and ovaries
I got my results only to find i have cysits on my left ovary, which explaines the awful pains on my left side.. i'm not too sure what this means really or whether it has anything to do with my fertility My doctor has suggested going on the pill for 12 months to srink the cysts but that is another year again waiting, is this right, or is there another way? there is other medication but she said it wouldn't be for me as it was aimed at women overweight.. i just dont know what to do or think, i am being sent for more bloods again and refered to another hospital as i have just moved and had to start the process over again with a new doctor, and not a nice one either...

Just a little info
I weigh 8 st 13 .....height 5ft 4 in......24 years old
I had a natuarl birth with my son weighing 9Ib 4oz but never had my checks after i had him... could anything been picked up then? sorry to sound so clueless...
I have had normal reg cycles for 5 days every 28 days, for the last 12 years only recently they haven't been ontime, and they have been really light for 3 days and very painful, also i have noticed other problems down below fron and back, which is painful and feels like my insides back and front are about to fall out, it is very unconfortable, even to go toilet, i do have reg check ups but this just seems to be getting worse, only the other nite i spotted tiny drops of blood from the back and has totally scared me to death, but feel to emmbarressed to go doctor about that one
i dont know what is wrong with me but something is defo wrong as nothing downstairs front or back is working right im really worried can anyone help me please..
I have started smoking cigerettes again, I gave up for 2 years too try and improve my chances of becoming healthier and pregnat but started again in aug last year, due to the stress of it all
My boyfriend smokes and also smoke canabis, i do not, alot of my friends and fam smoke it and it has never affected them, my sister has just had her 6th child and she is just 30.. i'm lost

Please anyone can you advise me in anyway..

You should also have your husband checked, too. Just because he fathered 2 prior children, doesn't necessarily rule him out. Male factors can come and go with changes in daily life.

Has your dr determined whether or not you are ovulating? Cysts are part of normal life. most women have them and don't even know it. Unless they become too large, they are not typically a problem. I don't understand why your dr feels 12 mos on the pill to get rid of them. Often times one month is enough. I assume they are not too large, or the dr would have said they needed to be aspirated. A yr seems like a very long time to me. Have you tried a specialist? A regular md and/or gyno isn't always the best choice when it comes to fertility issues. A reproductive endocrinologist is probably a better option, especially after 5yrs. Good luck to you :)

Did your doctor say anything about PCOS? Most women with PCOS have irregular periods, which you obviously don't...but the reason I was thinking that it could be is because it can cause small cysts in the ovaries and make it more difficult to become pregnant. I don't have PCOS myself, but I know several women on this forum do. I think there's even a PCOS forum right here on medhelp. I found this site for you, if you want to read more about it: http://www.4woman.gov/FAQ/pcos.htm

Good luck!
