Post Ovulation Cramping

I have a typcial 31 days cycle, and I ovulated this month on day 18 of my cycle. My husband and I have been trying for a few months but this is the first month I charted everything. After consistently taking OPKs for 7 days, my surge was detected on day 18, along with some strong cramps and light spotting that evening. We had intercourse on days 12 & 14, as well as day -1 and +1 of ovulation.

Now I'm on day 27 and I have consistently been having "twinging" cramps (best way to describe), with some stronger cramps on day 25. I just want to know that this is normal, and what are my chances of pregnancy? I've been moody and tired, some breast tenderness, but nothing like "ow, don't touch me!" This is my first time at this, and it's just hard to get a straight answer.

Also, when would it be the earliest to test for pregnancy? Thanks so much!

Well its good that you are charting things, what i have learned is that pregnancy symptoms and period symptoms are the same.  Which makes it harder to tell. I am 11dpo and been having twinges to my right side, since 4dpo, i started bd(bd=intercourse) 5days b4 ovulation up to the day after ovulation. My cycle is due tuesday but i still have negative pregnancy test. My breast are tender, nipples sore, moody, irritable,. Of course we hope for the best and want these symptoms to be pregnancy symptoms.

Just continue to monitor and chart your symptoms it will help you get more familar with your body, knowing what is normal for you and what is not normal. Also, taking your temp can tell you a lot of things, example, if you ovulated already, if implantation occured, that your period might start and if your pregnant. Im not sure if you looked up information on bbt, but you might want to do that to. Also checking you cervical mucus can tell you a lot to.

First response pregnancy test is the most sensitive test, it detects levels low as 12 so alot of women test at 8dpo and have gotten BFP's, If you buy a test that detects early you can test about 4-5 days b4 your cycle, also, you want to buy a test that detects at least at the level of 20mui for the hcg hormone. So if you bought a first response early result (frer) you could test now.

I hope you are preggo, but the signs and symptoms can be the same for AF and pregnancy.  Good luck

As a side note, I'm 27, hopefully fertile, but my husband just turned 36. Hopefully this doesn't have too much affect on our fertility??
