i spent 7 years TTC with multiple early m/c. wasn't until my mock IVF transfer that they found i had 3 fibroids...surgery to remove them, then IVF cycle 1 resulted in my daughter. i think they were definitely affecting our success
I ttc for over five years without success, then on 2008 had a myomectomy to remove 9 fibroids and was told that have endometriosis also which has my tubes completely blocked. I had my first IVF cycle last December and before I started the meds the RE told me that I had a small fibroid growing on the outside of my uterus and it should not be problem and it was not. On 1/2 Zi got my BFP and by the time I had my first US the fibroid had growth and I had another one growing. I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant and the fibroids have not growth any more they are about 6 cms each and have not bother me or the baby, I've had US every 6 weeks to monitor them. Don't worry about the fibroids, try to concentrate on your baby and think positive. Sending you lots of baby dust.
Wannaknow- I am so sorry to hear you have had so many losses, and about your fibroid. I know how hard it is when your body does not allow you to have the one thing you want so badly. Please do let me know what your doc says.
I just found out yesterday that I have a fibroid growing in my womb. Doctor wouldn't even tell me what it was. I really want my own family so I will be asking my ganaecologist everything. If I find out anything that can help you I will most certainly let you know. It's hard finding out that you have polycystic ovaries and fibroid in one doctor visit, especially when all you want is a healthy baby. I've lost 6 over the years and now I understand why!! :( Best of luck to you!
Am with you sailing in the same boat, my transfer is coming soon for IVF and i also have got a 3.4 cm fibroid outside uterine cavity, wish it doesn't hamper my process, good luck to you too :)
