Embryo fragmentation

Hi ladies...I'm am in the throws of my first IVF. I had 22 eggs retrieved of which 16 were viable. I realise this is quite a few and amazingly I have had absolutely NO side effects or symptoms. However, we were all on track for a 5 day transfer but I've just been told it will take place on day 3 now due to 'fragmentation'. Is this bad ?? Please help :)

Rossygirl... GOOD LUCK TODAY!  You are in my prayers!!!  How many did they transfer?  I can't wait to hear!  How many were they able to freeze?  We had 19 fertilize and have 11 left still frozen.  We are getting ready for our 3rd FET at the end of this month sometime : )      STICKY BABIES AND LOTS OF BABY DUST !!  Relax today ok?

Hi, ha ha, thanks somuch for your reply and support ! I likened the word fragmantation to DISINTIGRATION and so was really panicking, especially after thinking I'd done so well getting so many egges. Guess its the old adage quality not quantity eh.
My ET is tomorrow. Positive thoughts.....

afer typing "fail" on my last post, i have decided that was not the best choice of words.... i thnk "stress out" a little is a better choice!  I in NO WAY  meant to imply that the are "bad Embies", or in danger in ANY way!!!   Congratulations on our retrevial!!!!   And Please Let Us Know as you continue on your journey : )  AND PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR MY PREVIOUS CHOICE OF WORDS! When is your ET?

That means that they are starting to "fail" a litle, and they are probably thinking that they will do better inside Mommy's tummy : )
