what is IUI??

hello ladies what is IUI? and what does it do? thanks  does ins cover?

so when they place the sperm directly in you. but dont you knee to O?   If i dont Ovulated is there still an egg in there for the sperm to get?

IUI is artificial insemination.  The doctor inserts a catheter past your cervix and places the sperm directly in the uterus, presumably to increase chances that it will come in contact with an egg.  It typically costs about $300 each try.

I think insurance depends on where you live and if your insurance has any infertility benefits.  My insurance has no infertility benefits, so I have to pay for everything out of pocket.
