The term is used in the US and other countries as both PCOS and PCOD, the term relates to Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease or Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. It is a Genetic Disease usually passed on from Mother to daughter. It is classified as the most popular Infertility problem of women in the world. Its "cause" is unknown, except it is a Genetic Disorder. Most women experience very few periods, to maybe no periods. They don't ovulate normally, and many time, women wont ovulate at all, as due to lack of hormone the body wont allow the eggs to mature. Women diagnosed PCOD will have extremely hard times conceiving a child naturally as they don't ovulate and IF conception does happen, will have extremely hard times carry a child due to a very low amount of Hormone. Women with PCOD tend to have less Estrogen that normal women. To be diagnosed with PCOD, the only way a Exact Diagnoses can be done, is through Internal Ultrasound to see the cyst that the disease causes. Upon internal ultra sound , the ovaries will look like, as many Drs call it, Swiss Cheese. They have small to med sized cyst all over the ovaries that prevent you from ovulating to lowering your hormone levels.
If you are dignosed with PCOD/PCOS, speak with you OB/GYN on what is best for you. Many women notice a weight gain around the lower abdomen that never really goes away, facial hair, male pattern baldness. Due to the fact the body has higher Testosterone than Estrogen. Speak with your Dr about any Hormone Replacements you may need to be on. And if you are trying to conceive, speak with OB/GYN on the best Infertility Treatment and meds are the best.
thank you all for responding i will have my doctor test for it to be on the safe side .
In the US the term is PCOS(poly cystic ovarian syndrome). I guess they say PCOD(polycystic ovarian disease) in other countries. Both are the same.

If u have it after blood work should have found it psoriasis aka pcos is polycystic ovarian disease it is a hormone imbalance that causes annovulation which mean you don't ovulate meds can help but it doesn't go away with u having 4 m/c u obviously don't have a problem with ovulating so I don't think u have it but I am no Dr I woulds ask ur Dr to specifically test for it it took me three years a 5 different Dr to found out I have it good luck and I hope the next one sticks
