I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia a few years ago. I am 36 and have two boys (four and three). I reluctantly tried Lyrica in 2008 and have had asthma every since. Before going on it, I suggest you check out http://www.prescriptiondrug-info.com/threads/lyrica-lawsuit-D77155.htm
My husband and boys all deal with autism spectrum disorder issues. We decided to try a gluten-free, cassein-free (GFCF) diet to see if it helped any of us. I think it helps the guys somewhat but REALLY helps my Fibromyalgia. It is a difficult diet to follow but you might be amazed at how much better you feel. I have come up with some of my own recipes so I don't have to buy the expensive GFCF foods. It is definitely worth trying for at least a few months to see if it helps you.
Going to a rheumatologist is a good thing as they are the best to treat you. There is the odd one who doesn't support fibromyalgia and if that is the case then try another. It doesn't sound like you are yet on any of the approved drugs for fibro which you may find help you. I have had good luck with Lyric and in having my depression treated with Remeron. I didn't realize how depressed I'd gotten dealing with my diagnosis until after the depression lifted. Having it treated also helped my pain. If one drug doesn't work then try another. It can take a while to find the right mix for you. It is hard to think of exercise when you are so tired and sore but some light exercise does help the pain and energy. Look at taking supplements such as calcium, magnesium, fish oil, D-Ribose powder and vitamin D3. Good luck with everything.
