Would anyone be willing to share some secrets to how to answer questions for SSDI about fibro to better your chances?

IF U ARE IN REAL BAD PAIN U NEED TO EXPRESS THAT TO THEM .  I WAS TOLD NOT TO USE THE WORD HURT BUT TO SAY PAIN  AND TO KEEP SAYING THE WORD PAIN.  IF THIS MAKES ANY SENSE.  I WAS TOLD IF YOU USED WORDS LIKE HURT ,  ACHE ,  SORE  , THAT THEY DONT TAKE IT AS SERIOIUS AS WHEN U USE THE WORD PAIN.  AND DESCRIBE THE KIND OF PAIN THAT U HAVE ON YOUR WORSE DAY.  AND WHEN U GO TO A HEARING AND U FEEL LIKE U WANT TO CRY.. WELL DONT HOLD IT IN! HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE.  GOOD LUCK AND HOPE U FEEL BETTER.

I am on disabiliyt because of my fibro. You have to be tenacious. The first time you apply SSI will turn you down just to discourage you.

The best advice I can give you is to get a good attorney who handles disability claims. It took about 2 years for mine to finally come through, but yur will get a lumpp sum retroactive from the date of your first claim. You just have to leeep appealing and don't let the time lapse or you will have to start all over.

As to what to put on the forms, be honest-they Willl check. Get your Doc to write a recomdation that says that working will be bad for you and possibly make your symptoms worse. That will help more than anything. Good luck.
