There are treatments for most underlying infections. Please consider checking out our Health Pages (look to the right of your screen under "discussions"). Under the "treatments for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome", you will find some "pathogen killing treatments". They even have natural formulas (such as Dr. David A. Jernigan's protocol) to kill many pathogens.
That's why I had all of those surgeries, because my doctors said I have an underlying infection somewhere but after all of them, my counts are still high. I have spherocytosis, but it's under control. I'm getting so frustrated!! =)
oops --- also, has your physician ruled out an immune deficiency disease ?
Hi Renee,
It certainly sounded like CFS, but CFS patients have a very low sed rate. This is due to problems with their red blood cells. However, if you have a low cortisol level (common in many CFS patients), your sed rate can climb.
Has your physician done any of these tests ?
ANCA panel --- rule out Wegener's granulomatosis
Celiac panel --- rule out Celiac disease
B12
vitamin D level
If you've had these tests done, then consider getting tested for viruses & bacterias. It certainly does sound like you have an underlying infection. For more information, visit:

A little, there was a period last winter where my legs would just give out.
Do you have any muscle weakness ?
