Hormones ( Periods) and FIbro

Hello
I am new to this forum.  I am a 34 year old mom of three who has been suffering for a very long time.  I have had several back surgeries and everytime I said anything about pain in my body it was chalked up to that.  I was recently diagnosed with firbo and have a few questions.

1. Do your fibro symptoms seem to be intensified with PMS or during your period?

2. Ive read that having fibro and PMDD are all are related.  Anyone else suffer from PMDD?

3.I would not consider myself depressed but when you tell docs you hurt all over that is the first thing say.  My husband can brush my arm, or my butt, or hip and it feels like he slugged me...is that the tender points they are referring to?

4.  Do you go through weeks of feeling great, and then weeks of feeling horrible?

What medicines have helped the best for you?  My doctor recently put me on Kadian 100 mgs a day.  It does seem to help but not great relief in the mornings or evenings.  Any suggestions on a good treatment plan?  I do use my TENS unit alot and that helps for about an hour or so.

( sorry about grammar and spelling, baby on my lap)

Thanks for reading.

to answer a few of your questions...
1. YES!!
2. YES!!
3. most likely...
4. YES!!
and as far as meds go, it seems when it comes to antidepressants...its pretty much trial and error...you will have to find what works for you...depression CAN worsen your pain that already exists.  for pain, i am not sure, of course i cant take anything addictive...so my doctor wants me to try lyrica or neurontin (i think they are the same type of drug) but i just havent done it yet...trying to go as long as i can without anymore medications...if the Kadien doesnt work for you, tell your doctor, but try your hardest to stay away from anything addictive, if you can.
