Hi Anne,
I liked your website. I just wanted to welcome you and also let you know that we have Health Pages (located to the right of your screen), where you can post links and additional treatments and/or other information.
I've heard and have been reading about blood clotting problems in people who have both CFS and fibro. CFS/fibro expert, Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, says that "many infectious organisms do not survive well in the presence of oxygen. These are termed "anaerobic". Mycoplasma and other organisms may trigger the clotting system to create a shell, which then acts like a suit of armor, protecting them from oxygen, your body's defense system, and antibiotics. This would explain why these infections may have evolved a way to trigger the clotthing mechanism."
Doctors have been under fire for a while now due to rx'ing pain medications. They normally don't rx Morphine or methadone until they try you on other medications.those are the two highest addictive pain medications and most doctors think when you ask for them that you are a drug addict.
hi,
you shoul look for docs especialized in pain management, they are usually annestesists, and have a big experience using opioids, opiates(methadone, morphine, vicodin etc) for fibromialgia.hope u get better...sorry to just respond now,but im a new member...hope u get better soon.
Why are you wanting methadone or morphine? There are many other drugs that can help fibro pain that are not as dangerous. Yes, fibro pain can be severe. I know. I was diagnosed with fibro in 1998. However the two drugs that you are looking for are very heavy duty narcotics.
What other drugs have your doctors offered you for the maintenance of your fibro? Have you tried Lyrica yet?
