**That should read: I'm glad you aren't alone, not along, lol**
This is the reason why FMS and CFS run so much along the same lines. There seems to be a cross-over with the symptoms of each. I'm glad that you are not along cookiesyum.
You do sound like you have quite a lot going on and I can empathize with you. It's so difficult being a wife, mother, housekeeper, driver, cook...etc. It's great that he is working towards his certification, but that does leave you alone quite often. Then going to bed to arise and do it all over again. It's rough.
Maybe you could make some time to be with your spouse, without the children or all the other responsibilities. It sounds as if you both have such a hectic time-line, that there is little available to enjoy one another like you would wish to. We all know how that additional stress makes us feel. You have little time to relax yourself. Is there anyone you can call on for help...someone that could take the children for a while so you can have time to pamper yourself?
I'm sorry that I can't offer more solutions to help you. I can so relate to your struggles though and I pray that it all will work out for you.
Love your name. I have had fibro for 12 years and on and off I have a sore throat. Not a major sore throat, just noticable. A friend of mine does also.
We both started our FM with EBV Epstein Barr Virus (Mono) and one of the main symptoms of that illness is a sore throat. When we are run down and tired, our immune system is weaker and some of the symptoms push forward of that now at bay illness.
Tired, achy and a sore throat are some.
If your FM started with a virus, which is always in your system, just controlled by your immune system, being run down will let some symptoms rise. You are not contagious.
Yes, I am flared up pretty good right now. The freezing temperatures here in MI and lots of stress are tearing me up fibro pain wise. It's been a hellish couple of weeks with the whole withdrawl thing, then finances, work, kids, husband in school and being alone until 10:30 at night. Not easy for me these days. I work full time, he works as a teachers aide and he's in school at night to get his paraprofessional certificate. That means I come home from work, make dinner, clean up the dishes, get boys to do homework, and make sure they get showers and get in bed at a descent time. Then I get to rest around 10:00 or 10:30. I go to sleep, and start all over again at 6:00 AM.
Getting them off to school and stuff. My husband is here to help in the morning at least. In his defense, he takes VERY good care of me when he is here. He brings my coffee in the morning, drives the boys to school and fixes my youngest boys breakfast, while I hobble around taking pills to get my pain under control to start my day.
He does laundry, dishes when he's home, and the vacuuming and mopping since it's something that makes me hurt. He's not well himself. He is only 46 and has osteoperosis severely. He has a high fracture risk. He used to be a painter, but had to change occupations due to HIS disease. So that's why he's in school and all this. What a man huh? I LOVE HIM!!
We're struggling financially and it's soooo difficult for me to work full time. Thank goodness I have a desk job, but it's sales and that is stessful. I'm also the administrative assistant to my 2 bosses. It's hard to know I CANNOT quit when I'm sick. I'm making most of the income right now. I really just want to be home and be a mom and take care of my home, because with fibromyalgia, it's one or the other.
A bit long winded tonight. It's such a relief to talk to someone that understands though. Thank you to everyone here. You guys are awesome. Thank you so much for your help and encouragement. Really!!
A sore throat isn't typical of fibro. It could be something as simple as a change in seasons...are you turning on your heat now? Is anything in bloom? These can cause post nasal drip which tends to lead to a sore throat. This can also cause a non-stop headache.
I get the same hip sensations. Our hips tend to be a trigger point for pain. The itchy and tingly sensations...I have those as well and those are symptoms of fibro. Fibro causes all sorts of strange sensations. If it doesn't get any worse than what you describe now, I would feel inclined to say it's your fibro flaring-up. You didn't mention that there was pain with the other symptoms. If it worsens you may want to see your doctor about it. You could have the beginning of a bit of arthritis. (Oh yes, it sounds very familiar).
Hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself.
