I have hip pain and have all the other pains that fibro offer. I am in pain everyday. I might get one good day out of 7. Fibro does wax and wane as my pain changes from day to day but most of the days the pain is in my neck and upper back. My neck feels like a toothache everyday and that is mostly due to the protruding disc. I had an xray on 12/19 when the hip pain started and it seems to hurt more when the temperature really drops. So I actually believe that fibro may be a cause of the hip pain.
If it is fibromyalgia, from what is known about the illness to date, the pain waxes and wanes. It's not the same for everyone, Some may have flares every now and then, others have them for months with remissive periods in between and some have the pain most of the time. There are medications to treat the pain and there are alternative treatments posted in our Health Pages. We are all here seeking answers and working towards getting better. For now, we are left with treating symptoms and praying for research to tell us more about this debilitating illness.
I read about your treatment with C-Rituxan and there is a possibility of myalgia being one of the side-effects (experienced by some). That may be why you have felt a bit worse. This may be something that will subside, so please check with your physician about it.
I know you have much going on with your health right now and I hope that you don't have anything additional to be concerned about. I'll keep you in my prayers and hope you feel better soon. Take care.
This is more imformation on my question I had about my hip pain. I also have muscle aches all over my body. I've had these aches for the last five five years and since my Chop and rutuxan treatment for my lymphoma it's gotten worst. If it is fibromyalgia will the pain ever gets better?
Hip pain can be caused by a variety of problems. Were it FMS causing the pain you would likely be feeling more than just pain in that one area. Since you do not mention any other symptoms, i'm more inclined to feel it could be due to your disk.
I hope you have received your test results or get them soon so you will have more answers.
Take care.
