Hi gina182 and welcome to the forum.
What are the details regarding your ANA test results?
The protein spilling into your urine called "proteinuria", could be serious and it should be investigated ASAP!
It may have to do with a urinary tract infection (UTI), kidney function
impairment or other damage.
Lupus diagnostic criteria are a bit complicated and diagnosing Lupus
is a lengthy and rather difficult endeavour. Just visit the Lupus Foundation of America website for details.
Wish you well!
Niko
Hi there,
Any test result should be correlated clinically .A positive ANA test for the presence of these antibodies produced by your immune system usually indicates a stimulated immune system. Presence of protein in urine and positive ANA is usually seen in the presence of lupus. If you are suspected to be suffering from lupus you may need more specific antibody testing. It is best to clarify your doubts with your doctor and start treatment based on the diagnosis. Do write to me again with more queries.
Take care and regards!
