I had an allergic reaction to Effexor. Hot flashes, throwing up, face dripping with sweat, and such. I had a reaction to pragabalin, blood pressure sky rocketed and extreme swelling.

I take Neuroton and it helps a lot. I can certainly tell if I miss a dose. I use it for neuropathic pain. It was less expensive too. I take 3x 300 mgs. I have taken higher dosages but caused memory problems.

I am also hypo and take Armour Thyroid 300 mg. in the morning on an empty stomach.

Are you on the venalfaxine controlled release capsules (Effexor XR)?
Are you taking it with food?
The nausea is usually at first only, but it takes about 4 weeks to dissipate
for most and if it doesn't, then you should advise your prescribing doctor.

Do you know why exactly you were prescribed this? There are various purposes for its use.
Note that should you have an underlying low thyroid function (common with FMS), venalfaxine is contra-indicated.
(There are quite a few other contra-indications, you should check as you cannot rely solely on your doctor or pharmacist to do it for you!)

The pregabalin also comes with  a lot of common side effects , including
digestive and G/I symptoms, which is pertinent to you.
The increased dose is more in line with the guidelines for neuropathic pain,
but much lower than what's recommended for fibomyalgia treatment.
Perhaps your doctor is testing gradual increases to see how well you tolerate it.

Other than this, how are these meds working for you and is there anything  else you do on your own?

Take care.
