Hey frekiewitch,
Welcome to the forum.
You might be a mess but definitely not crazy.
And you being a mess is mostly because of your IBS.
You must have heard many times "You are what you eat". It ain't so!
You are what you absorb and assimilate. With IBS the most common aspects of it are "Leaky Gut Syndrome" and "Gut Dysbiosis".
80% of your Immune function is in your gut.
What king of tests have you done so far?
Please give me details about tests, meds, eating habits, G/I and digestive symptoms, treatments-medical and natural- emotions and stress, traumatic past events-physical or emotional- activity level, exact muscle and joint symptoms, supplements, most recent tests for nutritional deficiencies including mineral analysis.
What type of doctor and what type of diagnostic criteria and testing were used/performed for the Fibro dx?
It is actually good that you are unsure of the doctors opinion/diagnosis.
This shows that you are proactive and don't accept his/her determination without some type of challenge, seeking verification.
I will reply again when you offer your answers, and hopefully I can help you with some suggestions.
Wish you well.
Niko

the test done so far has mainly been blood work and an echo she said everything came back normal except my acl was a 7 and i was anemic. she is a nurse practicianer and her dx for the fibro was just my symptoms and frustration of the pain. she says i have neropathy in my legs and feet. pain in my arms and hips (mainly right side), there are days my legs jump iraticly and i can't control it, migranes that alieve doesn't help any more, dizziness to the point of passing out at times, they have done a heart cath the only thing my echo and cath showed was that my left ventical is not putting out good last year it was at 71% and this year it is at 61%. i am on metformin 1000mg 2x daily, gabapentin 100mg 2 @ 2x daily and floxetine 20mg 1 aday. my sugar dosen't want to go under 180. i am trying to watch sugar but it is hard and i have alot of stress going on. i am not depressed just dealing with alot. about 5yrs ago they found a polyp in my uterus that they said had the cells to be cancer but it hadn't spread so the put in a merana iud to help with it. i have not seen a dr since that happen this is the first i have got to see one and that is only started last month

I would not settle for a diagnosis of fibromyalgia until you have seen a rhuematologist. A nurse practisioner I am sure is fine, but it sounds more complicated than FMS or at least a very severe case of FMS. FMS is diagnosed as well by a set of tender points and ruling out other potential causes. They basically press on certain areas of the body that don't normally cause pain in people and they cause pain in people with FMS. They also do a fuller history to rule out other diseases such as MS which can have some similarities to FMS.

For example the sleep apnea may really be having an effect. There are orthodontic appliances that you can get made to help with that, and they are a lot less intrusive than one of the forced air machines.

Please go see a rheumatologist, even if you have to pay out of pocket, they know the whole range of issues.

FYI : lindaland,freakiewitch
New fms dx has replaced the 11 or more of the 18 tender point count criteria recently.

                              Abstract
Abstract Criteria for fibromyalgia developed from the conceptualization and hypotheses of Smythe and Moldofsky in 1977 and gradually evolved to a set of classification criteria endorsed by the American College of Rheumatology that emphasized tender points and widespread pain, measures of decreased pain threshold. In 2010, American College of Rheumatology fibromyalgia diagnostic criteria were published that abandoned the tender point count and placed increased emphasis of patient symptoms. The 2010 criteria also contained severity scales and offered physicians the opportunity to assess polysymptomatic distress on a continuous scale. This enabled physicians who were opposed to the idea of fibromyalgia to also assess and diagnose patients using an alternative nomenclature.

                             Abstract
Fibromyalgia is a condition which appears to involve disordered central afferent processing. The major symptoms of fibromyalgia include multifocal pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, and cognitive or memory problems. Other symptoms may include psychological distress, impaired functioning, and sexual dysfunction. The pathophysiology of fibromyalgia remains uncertain but is believed to be largely central in nature. In 1990 the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) published diagnostic research criteria for fibromyalgia. The criteria included a history of chronic and widespread pain and the presence of 11 or more out of 18 tender points. Pain was considered chronic widespread when all of the following are present: pain in the left side of the body; pain in the right side of the body; pain above the waist; pain below the waist. In addition, axial skeletal pain must be present and the duration of pain must be more than 3 months. A tender point is considered positive when pain can be elicited by pressures of 4 kg/cm2 or less. For tender points to be considered positive, the patient must perceive the palpation as painful; tenderness to palpation is not sufficient. However, over the next 20 years it became increasingly appreciated that the focus on tender points was not justified. In 2010 a similar group of investigators performed a multicenter study of 829 previously diagnosed fibromyalgia patients and controls using physician physical and interview examinations, including a widespread pain index (WPI), a measure of the number of painful body regions. Random forest and recursive partitioning analyses were used to guide the development of a case definition of fibromyalgia, to develop new preliminary ACR diagnostic criteria, and to construct a symptom severity (SS) scale. The most important diagnostic variables were WPI and categorical scales for cognitive symptoms, un-refreshed sleep, fatigue, and number of somatic symptoms. The categorical scales were summed to create an SS scale. The investigators combined the SS scale and the WPI to recommend a new case definition of fibromyalgia: (WPI > or = 7 AND SS > or = 5). Although there is no known cure for fibromyalgia, multidisciplinary team efforts using combined treatment approaches, including patient education, aerobic exercise, cognitive behavioral therapy, and pharmacologic therapies (serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors [e.g., duloxetine, milnacipran] and alpha 2-delta receptor ligands [e.g., pregabalin]) might improve symptoms as well as function in patients with fibromyalgia.

Freakiewitch.
Did you mean aCL as in Anti-Cardiolipin Antibodies? If yes, then 7 is borderline for IgG and IgM. Indicative of relative risk of atherosclerosis
when elevated.
You may want to consider Hypnotherapy for your stress issues and your
sugar cravings. 4-5 sessions with a good therapist should make a remarkable difference in your health.
The sugar consumption is feeding yeast metabolites and that explains the lack of control in that area, as they create the cravings. They become part of you in a way and the more you consume the more pronounced the cravings. Tartaric acid levels increase at the expense of malic acid production - they are antagonistic and the tartaric acid inhibits the malic acid- interfering with the Kreps cycle. That means decreased energy production, fatigue and a lot of pain.
Meanwhile your IBS symptoms flare-up.
And all this not taking into consideration diabetes issues.
I suspect that if you can stick to an Anti-Candida diet combined with a
GAPS or SCD program most of your symptoms will vanish with noticeable improvement within a couple weeks.
You may need to enhance this with specific supplementation with Prebiotics and Probiotics of high quality, CoQ10 water soluble, B12 Methylocobalamin sublingual,Omega 3 from small cold water fish, GABA- gabapentin is a GABA analogue though,so perhaps discuss with your Dr. to have it possibly substituted with natural GABA supplementation- and minerals following a suggested mineral hair analysis and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (EVCO) to replace all cooking oils.
Look it up at the coconut research center website as it is EXTREMELY beneficial in Diabetes. It will take a huge load of your body as it gets converted into energy very fast - more like carbs but without the sugar issues. It is also a great antifungal agent and more. One of the TOP functional foods!

You may also need to enhance this with some Aloe Vera Leaf gel topical application  for GI and digestive health improvement. Massage on your body and leave on for 30' and then shower. On alternate days do the same with Magnesium Oil (50-50 MgCl and water) spray with spray bottle-not hot-and rub well all over except sensitive areas of the body. This is the best way to increase the Mg levels and the Chloride part of it is used for the production of gastric acid . Your body absorbs gradually what it needs  safely without going through the digestive system.
A heavy metal detox is something I would recommend as well.
You can search this or pm me for details.
Finally check my most recent post at the Lupus Community as "Leaky Brain Syndrome" may pertain to some of your cognitive issues including speech, dizziness and sleep problems.
This is a long post. Please take the time to read it. Do not feel rushed to
go through it. There's a lot of useful information. Some of it if applied correctly will help you significantly
At this point I'm not sure about your fibo dx
Do not put a lot of weight on it , as Fibro is a Syndrome of many symptoms with no known cure-medically speaking- and no specific medical treatment. In my opinion conventional medicine has not convinced me at all of the value of a dx of FMS other than putting the sufferer at "ease" in a way,
but with no hope of recovery and a lifetime of medications to manage symptoms.
I have my ideas for properly approaching all this, but I'll leave it for future posts.
Wish you well.
Blessings
Niko
