Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome

Ok, I understand I  have TTS and just have to live and deal with it, I have it over 15yrs now and I'm 38. But, My biggest problem is, is it normal for my legs to hurt so much? They hurt from my thigh to my ankles and I do not have the typical TTS symptoms. Is it possible there could be something else going on? The best way to describe what my legs feel like is that their being strangled where the thigh and hip would meet. Most people complain of burning in their feet and toes hurting. I don't have any of that. My toes do at times turn blue and do have a hard time with temp. either their hot or cold. Last podiatrist I went to found it odd that when he touched my legs they didn't go back to normal right away like they were suppose to (I assume color). My Dr now is just a family Dr and pretty useless in this whole area. And isn't in any rush to send me to another podiatrist even though I am on disability for the TTS. I just can not stand the constant pain anymore.

Ok, had the arteries checked and all was good, also had my back and hips x-rays done and all was fine there. The Methylprinisolone worked great but of course didn't last. Dr is sending me to a rheumatologist since he thinks it's an arthritis of some sorts. I was tested for RA but it was neg. Soooo I'm clueless right now. And knowing the Drs office I'll be clueless for some time waiting for an appt. I'm sure it won't be quick.

Well, went to my Dr this morning. He put me on Methylpridnisolone for a week, is having me go for x-rays of my hip and back and I believe an ultrasound. Can't read  his writing but it's something doppler. And said he would be shipping me off to a rheumatologist. About 2 months ago I did have blood work done and my inflammation lvl was really high. So he checked me for Lyme, Lupus and RA and all came back neg.

I recommend getting evaluated by a vascular surgeon.  TTS only affects the ankle.  It sounds like you have an issue higher up in the leg that may involve the arteries.
