The orthotics may have strained your arch if you did not graduate the wear: 1 hour first day, 2 hours second, etc. It's hard to diagnose without seeing the foot. Any history of recent injuries?
If not, I would ice and massage the area on a daily basis. If you can take ibuprofen, I would suggest 600 mg with food at breakfast and again with dinner for 5 consecutive days. In the meantime, wear supportive tennis shoes (asics, new balance, saucony's).
If your shoes are more than 1 year old, get a new pair. Lastly, do stretches. Stretch the calf, and intrinsic muscles of the foot (make a fist with your toes and hold for 10 secs. do this 20 times while lounging).
I do not think it is from an injury. I have also been experiencing pain between big toe, burning in ball of foot.
I think som of it may be from me thinking about every symptom with my foot when it occurs and dwelling on it.
Thank you for your reccomendations.
