Acid Reflex

I have been taking Kapadix and now on Protonic and zantac at night and I still have really bad acid reflex, even when I drink water. I have gone to 2 different gastronologists and I cannot get relief.  I already had the endoscopy when I had my colonoscopy and now they both want to do a ph test.  I cannot see how that can help me. Could you tell me the benefits of having that done? Thank you for your help.

I only called my advanced gasternologist yesterday and she gave me a different prescription.  I could not believe what she gave me.  Our insurance went electronic and there is a list of everything.  She prescriped 1 Omeprazole DR 20 mg a day.  It showed I was taking that medicine back in December at 2 a day and it did not work.  I am going to have to change doctors.  I am going to try this again for awhile and see what happens. Thanks for your input.

Hi...I had a bad flare like that when even water made me feel worse.

Try chewing gum...and know it cold be u have too little acid...the PH test should give u that info.....

Please post an update after u see the dr

Thank you for your input. I was thinking of asking the doctor if I could try a different medicine that might work before I get the PH test. I have acid reflex even it I just drink water.  I don't have much faith in these doctors anymore.
Thanks again your comment was helpful.

Hi...as I was reading this I was thinking u should get the PH test...it is highly possible that u do not have too much acid, but too little....and it will feel the same as when u have too much, the PH test will let the dr know just how much acid u have.

U need acid to break down ur foods.....so ne imbalance will cause this same distress.
