Extreme Sensitive Mouth

I am a 50 yr old female. I have an extremely sensitive mouth, even my
throat has started to become a lot more sensitive.Everything I eat is like
putting acid in my mouth.Feels like everything makes my mouth and tongue burn.I have been taking Nexium for about 3yrs now.Still sometimes get really
bad heartburn that lasts for days. I have had Gerd for ever.I even wake up in the a.m.with with a really dry mouth and lips. And red blotches around my mouth that are dry & itchy...Tried an over the counter yeast cream and a zinc cream and a hydrocortisone cream. This is only a temporary fix and usually ends up getting redder and blotchier.I do also have some swallowing
issues..hard to get things down my throat, really get stuck in there sometimes. Please help me with my mouth...toothpaste even hurts!

No I have not changed my diet...How could an allergy make my lips, tongue and entire
mouth so extremely sensitive?? My doc says, pretty much your crazy...and don't chew
gum.I do have an appt for a scope down my throat next month finally.
It is so annoying...its like scorching your mouth every time you eat something.and my
lips just can't get enough chapstick. There is a dry ring around my lips that gets really
itchy and dry and odd patches around my mouth that are dry and itchy too.
Tried a cream like canestan around my mouth also.My dentist doesn't know whats up
either.

Hi..it sounds like ur tongue may have been over exposed to acids or u may have a possible thrush infection.

It could also be an allergy.

May I ask have u modified ur diet?....

Have u been to a dr regarding this ?...if not, I strongly urge u to.
