Any one else that can tell me more about your symptoms before and after diagnosed with GERD, plz
yes I changed my lifestyle and diet. Lost allot of weight. Take nexium in the morning. Dont smoke, never did.
3 weeks may not be enuff...have you modified your diet and lifestyle as well?
What time of day do you take the med? Do not take with your vitamin supplements...
Your symptoms do sound like those others have experienced with this condition
About 3 weeks. 40mg one a day. My symptoms, is it normal? The chestpain, feeling of fullness all the time, sore throat, tired, backpain?
Since the nexium has a short lived benefit, maybe it is not the right med for you....how long have you been on it?
The nexium works better, but in the afternoon the symptoms is back. Pain under my breastbone, the feeling of something stuck in my throat, burbing alot, feels like someone is strangeling me and then my heart starts beating strange....like skipping a beat.
You are doing quite well with your English....so no worries there.
Yes, GERD symptoms and damage can be healed....but it is combination of meds and lifestyle and diet changes....but it can be done.
Just keep asking your questions and I will try to answer if I can.
I am struggeling to understand GERD. I did google it. Will the symptoms ever go away? I am Afrikaans. Diffucult to express myself in English. I have so many questions.
Hi and welcome to the GERD forum.
With reflux it is possible for the vagus nerve to be affected and this can cause heart palps and feel like a heart issue, if yor Dr did testing to rule out a heart issue and your family history does not give you concern, then I would say try to relax as anxiety can cause your symptoms to flare or worsen.
Foods to avoid while you are in a flare...are spicy, greasy, acidic, carbonated bevs, as well as caffeine and alcohol.....if you smoke stop....
When in a major flare everything including water can affect how you feel....so keep a journal as your triggers may be different then what may affect me......or others....
Again try to relax and keep us posted on your progress.
