Yes, too much sugar is not good , chocolate is deff one to cause reflux....and many have disputed dairy being an issue....some see benefits from it and others do not feel well after eating it.

Keep at it as it appears u r getting a hold on what u can  and can not eat.

Yes. I just started my journal January 8 of this year. I don't know if it really helps because I always have cravings for sweets, chocolates, ice cream & I had to suffer after I ate those foods.

I hope I can manage the cravings & get serious this journal thing. Thank you.

Hi...I would suggest u see ur Dr for the best option....the yakult is a probiotic so u do not need it as a med....

May I ask do u keep a journal of foods u eat to see how u feel after eating them....many times foods considered safe can affect us while those suppose to be bad do not...u need to keep track to see what ur triggers are.

Thank you for taking time to respond. I've been on and off taking prazole plus for a year since I was diagnosed with Gastritis. I haven't go back to the doctor after the edg & colon procedure last year. I try to eliminate foods tht triggers belching, reflux & bloating. I did not take any probiotic meds. Though i drink yakult every other day. No sinus. The only thing that bothers me is my belching, bloated & full stomach. My belching has been around all year round everyday. It only stop when I'm asleep. I don't know what else to do.

Hi and welcome to the GERD forum.

Not being a medical professional it is not wise for us to suggest a different med...but I would strongly suggest u let ur Dr know how the med u r currently on is affecting u. Many meds will cause bloating in the beginning....but if this is going on a yr, u need to tell ur Dr.

Ask if probiotics may help. Also u should be on a modified diet and lifestyle to aid the meds in being effective.

I also wonder if u have post nasal drip or sinus issues as I found taking an antihistamine was helpful..so something else to discus with ur Dr.

Keep us posted on how u r doing.
