H pylori

About 3 months ago, I experienced a gnawing pain and horrible acid taste and sore throat - this after being on 2 different antibiotics for 1 month.

I had also been experiencing a thick saliva and horrid taste in my mouth for almost three years. And esophageal spasms.  I had an esophageal mamonetry test and an endoscopy done in October. The tests showed no reflux but esophageal spasms. which was ultimately treated with a botox shot. The endoscopy showed no h plylori in my stomach. But independently I had a stool sample taken which did show H pylori and yeast present.

I was put on 60 mg. of dexilant(the newest PPi drug) which really did stop the gnawing pain and acid. However after 60 days I am terribly nauseated, dizzy, lightheaded, have a headache and anxiety and a pulsing in my right ear.And taste the dexilant.  I have tried to go off dexliant and switch to zantac but within 2 days the acid taste starts to come back. Am I getting acid rebound - how do I get off dexilant?

Why would H pylori be in my stool and not in my stomach?

If it's bile reflux, I"ve had it for over 70 years and you describe it correctly - it's bloody awful.

A couple of years ago, out of sheer desperation (and any number of trips to docs and once to the emergency ward) I tried ice cream.

1 to 2 cups of ice cream and 20 minutes later I was completely ok.

Any flavour - I've tried vanilla, chocolate and butterscotch and frozen yoghurt does not work.

Good luck
