HIGH LIVER ENZIMES LEVEL

I HAD A BLOOD TEST 2 WEEKS AGO AND MY VITAMIN D LEVEL IS LOW AND MY LIVER ENZYMES ARE HIGH,SINCE I DON'T DRINK  ALCOHOL AND I HAVEN'T TAKE ANY TYLENOL LATELY MY DOC RECOMEND TO HAVE ANOTHER BLOOD TEST,WHICH WAS DONE LAST WEEK,IS EVEN WORST THE ENZYMES LEVEL,I'M HAVING A  LIVER ULTRASOUND TOMORROW,I'M WONDERING WHAT CAN I EXPECT? AND IF THE MEDS I'M TAKING HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH MY LIVER? ABOUT 15 MONTHS AGO STARTED HAVING SWALLOWING PROBLEMS AND I HAD HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE,ALL THIS STARTED A FEW WEEKS AFTER MY SISTER GOT MURDERED,BECAUSE OF THAT MY DOC PRESCRIBED XONOX FOR ANXIETY AND PANIC ATTACCS,AND AN DIURETIC FOR BLOOD PRESSURE,AFTER THAT I TOOK POTASSIUM CAPS CAUSE MY LEVEL WAS VERY LOW,THEN ALL THAT WORSEN MY ACID REFLUX I WAS TAKING OTC ANTIACIDS SOME DAYS BETWEEN 10 TO 15 TUMS,I TOOK PROTONIX,FINALLY I STOPED EATING CAUSE NONE OF THE MEDS HELPED OUT,WENT TO SEE A GASTROLOGIST AND I HAD AN ENDOSCOPY,MY ESOPHAGUS WAS ALMOST CLOSED,IT GOT STRECHED,HE FOUDED OUT I HAVE HIATAL HERNIA,GASTRITIS ,ESOPHAGITIS EROSIVE AND ESOPHAGUS INFECTION,HE PUT ME ON NEXIUM AND FLUCONAZOL,BUT I WASN'T GETTING ANY BETTER AFTER 3 WEEKS I HAD A BURNING SENSATION IN MY THROAT AND I WAS STILL HAVING SWALLOWING PROBLEMS,DROPED 40 LB IN 6 WEEKS,SO HE PUT ME ON LIBRAX FOR ESOPHAGUS SPASMS,THAT HELPED A LOT 2 DAYS AFTER I STARTED TAKING IT I WAS AVAILABLE TO EAT SOLID FOOD( WAS IN A SOFT AND LIQUID DIET FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS)I WAS TAKING 3 CAPS A DAY,4 MONTHS AFTER I HAD LOWER THE DOSE TO 2 CAPS FOR 6 WEEKS,AND AFTER THAT I'M TAKING ONE A DAY AND I WAS TAKING 2 CAPS OF 40MG OF NEXIUM A DAY FOR 5 MONTHS AND NOW I'M TAKING 1 A DAY,BEFORE ALL OF THIS I HAD A BLOOD TEST AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE BUT MY POTASSIUM,CALCIUM AND VITAMIN D LEVEL,BUT THAT WAS BACK IN APRIL 2009,TOOK VITAMINS AND HAD A FOLLOW UP IN  AUGUST AND THE BLOOD TEST CAME FINE,THE FAM DOC RECOMENDED JUST TO TAKE CALTRATE + VITAMIN D,I'M WONDERING IF LIBRAX OR NEXIUM HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE LIVER ENZYMES LEVEL? SHOULD I STOP TAKING THIS MEDS? AND WHAT ARE THE RISKS OF THAT ELEVATION?MY STOMACH IS MUCH BETTER BUT I HAVE TO WATCH EXTRICTLY WHAT I EAT,MY ACID REFLUX IS BAD A TIMES,I HAVE AN APP WITH THE GASTROLOGIST IN SEP. SHOULD I ASK HIM TO CHANGE MEDS??HELP ME PLEASE :(

Hi ...yes, after several rounds of antibiotics cleared the H.Pylori....then a product called align which is a probiotic he began to feel better.

He was getting jaundice and yellow in the whites of his eyes....all has since cleared up.

hi

you mentioned h.pylori linked with the liver, was your dads liver issues cured?
if so, what treatment options were there?

barbilatina,
drugs can raise liver function tests, you could have fatty liver, maybe due to diet, weight,
get tested for all hepititis viruses and autoimune hepititis, ultrasound is a good step.

what were your test results or liver function, is it raised alt?

also have a look into this

having Low Levels of stomach acid
Hydrochlorhydria it can cause alot of symptoms too

Hi...sorry I was not able to read ur entire thread as the all caps affects my eyes, but from what I did read it appears u r having high enzyme levels in ur liver.

Were u checked for H.Pylori?...my dad had bile  from this and it went so long undectected that it was affecting his liver too.'

Get ur gall bladder checked too.

Good luck
